Seasonal refresh

Light edits that carry Manchester homes through long winters and brief bright summers.

Note

Winter warmth without closing rooms in

From November through March, grey skies and early dark make bare rooms feel larger and colder. We add denser throws, warmer lamp bulbs, and rugs under main seating while keeping walkways open. Curtains close fully against draughts on terrace front rooms facing the street.

Moss and slate accents replace summer’s lighter cushions so the palette still matches your walls.

Field

Summer light in short northern days

Manchester summers bring longer evenings but not always heat. We lift heavy throws into storage, swap to lighter bed linen, and open sheers so evening light reaches deep into Ancoats flats. Plants and a single brighter cushion set can signal the season without a full restyle.

Plan

What stays and what rotates

Core sofas, tables, and paint stay put. Rotating pieces are cushions, throws, table runners, and sometimes a lampshade. We write a short seasonal list so you know exactly what to store in the loft or under-bed drawers between changes.

Households with children often keep one washable everyday set year-round and a softer evening set for quieter weeks.

Note

Timing around school and work calendars

Many clients book a refresh in September after summer travel, or in January when rooms feel tired. Visits are shorter than full room schemes — often a single consultation with a shopping list delivered the same week.

Seasonal refresh pricing

A seasonal consultation is typically £95–£160. A written refresh list for one or two rooms usually costs £700–£1,100. Larger multi-room seasonal packages sit up to about £1,800 within our overall £700–£3,600 range. Email [email protected] to ask about the next available week.
